TEXT ANIMALS
Magnolia Dell is one of the oldest parks in Pretoria. The Walker Spruit flows through the park, and although it has been channeled, it still hosts frogs, tadpoles, crabs and fish. The location of the park close to the inner city makes it popular with city residents; many who come from other African countries. For many city children, this may be their only exposure to a 'natural' area.
The text animals in this series of artworks all occur in the park. They have each been interpreted in one of the official South African languages, and the Egyptian Goose in Shona.
